THE FOXHOUND DOG
It is said that due to an experiment in Great Britain to try to achieve scientific breeding, it resulted in the birth of Foxhound dogs.
Foxhounds of yesterday were used as part of wild deer hunting where it caught the eyes of people who wanted a chance to breed the dog along with other dogs.
Foxhounds are known for their vibrancy, bright and commanding eyes and they very short hair.
The colors of a Foxwood dog runs the gamut of brown to black and even brown. Some of these dogs are also white in color, the latter which is beautiful in its own way, especially if it is thoroughly clean.
These dogs stand at 231/2 to 24 inches and are quite playful, especially with other dogs. Owners of these dogs should try to keep the dog well groomed at all times. Experts suggest that a grooming and exercise regimen for this type dog is a must on a regular basis.
It is unfortunate though that have a life span to live between the ages of 11 -13 years and it helps that they are also good with kids.
You will also find that Foxhounds are very loyal to their masters. It is imperative that these dogs get training and right away since this will benefit them in the long run.
Training is a must with the Foxhound Dog and although people perceived the dogs to be highly intelligent, they have a short memory span. That is to say that if they are chasing after something and you try to distract them, they will keep on pushing ahead with what they were originally doing.
On the homefront though Foxhounds are extremely helpful dogs and if you are not lucky they will go and collect your morning papers for their owner.
