Wayward Sunnyvale Seal Pup Critical, But Improving
A 10-pound northern fur seal pup found roaming the streets of Sunnyvale earlier this week is “holding it’s own” today, according to Marine Mammal Center spokesman Jim Oswald.
The pup was taken to the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito after animal control officers found the pup Wednesday night near the train tracks at Tasman Drive and Reamwood Avenue in Sunnyvale, according to Oswald and Sunnyvale city spokesman John Pilger.
“There is a creek close to where it was found that runs to the bay,” Pilger said Thursday. “It’s possible it came from there but the answer is we really don’t know.”
